PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT

What type of assessments do we offer?

At Innova Psychology, we view assessments as a means to obtain a comprehensive and meaningful understanding of the unique individual and their needs. In turn, we are confident in offering the following types of assessments using the gold-standard measurement tools for people of all ages and their families:

​Psychoeducational Assessments: May include the use of cognitive (e.g., IQ/intelligence, memory, executive function), academic achievement, and adaptive functioning (e.g., day-to-day living skills) measures that can ultimately help identify an Intellectual Disability, Giftedness, Specific Learning Disorders and an array of other factors that may be affecting an individual’s ability to learn.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Assessments: May include using a comprehensive diagnostic interview with parents/caregivers, as well as direct assessment and observation of the individual. Assessments of this nature may also identify the presence of a Non Verbal Learning Disorder or Social Pragmatic Communication Disorder.

Social/Emotional/Behavioural Assessments: May include interviews, observation, rating scales and direct assessment to assist in the identification of Attention-deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), as well as other behavioural disorders (e.g., Oppositional Defiant Disorder), Mood and Anxiety Disorders (Depression, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, OCD), Trauma and Stressor Related Disorders (PTSD), and Personality Disorders (e.g., Borderline, Dependent).

We understand that families outside of Calgary need support too!

Therefore, we are happy to travel to complete assessments when requested.
