Caitlin is a Registered Psychologist with expertise in psychological assessment across all stages of life. Her work is grounded in curiosity, compassion, and a commitment to offering individuals and families clarity through evidence-based evaluation. With a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology focused on psycholinguistics and language development, and a Master of Science in Forensic & Clinical Psychology from the University of Kent in Canterbury, England (2012). Caitlin has spent more than a decade immersed in understanding how people think, learn, feel, and grow. Her training provided a strong foundation in assessing cognitive functioning, personality development, emotional well-being, and, when relevant, risk-related behaviours. In turn, through her training and experience, Caitlin is skilled in differential diagnosis, and complex and co-occurring mental health and developmental presentations across the lifespane.
Caitlin has worked with children, adolescents, and adults in a wide range of clinical settings, including acute child and adolescent inpatient and outpatient mental health programs and specialized government agencies supporting adults. These experiences have shaped her nuanced, trauma-informed, and developmentally-aware approach to assessment.
Therapeutically, Caitlin has engaged in ongoing evidence-based training to enhance and specialize her skills. Caitlin is well-versed in utilizing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), mindfulness and self-compassion within the therapeutic setting. Moreover, areas of enhanced training and specialization include, treatment of OCD and anxiety-related disorders through the use of Exposure and Response Prevention (E/RP), as well as modalities (SPACE) to specifically support parents in their approach to navigating their child’s diagnosis of OCD and/or anxiety. With treatment rooted in attachment-based theory, Caitlin also specializes in supporting parents through modalities such as Circle of Security Parenting (CoSP) to help build secure bonds for healthy development and relationships
