THE ASSESSMENT DETAILS

A Psychoeducational Assessment examines cognitive abilities, academic skills, and social-emotional functioning to understand how someone learns. It identifies strengths, challenges, and any learning or mental-health-related needs, and provides clear recommendations for school and/or workplace supports, including accommodations and program planning if required.

  • Intake (1 hour):
For children and adolescents, this appointment is attended by parents or guardians only. This session focuses on gathering developmental, academic, and behavioural history to inform the assessment plan.

    Cognitive Assessment (2 hours):
Measures reasoning, memory, attention, processing speed, and overall learning potential to build a profile of cognitive strengths and challenges.

Academic Assessment (up to 3 hours):
Evaluates core academic skills—including reading, writing, mathematics, and language—to understand how a student is performing relative to age and grade expectations.

    Feedback Session (1 hour):
A dedicated meeting to walk through the results, diagnoses (if applicable), and individualized recommendations for school, work, and daily life.

Indirect Hours (up to 6 hours):
Time allocated for file review scoring, interpretation, and report writing, billed in one-hour increments.

  • Assessment fees generally fall between $2350 and $2820 depending on the amount of direct and indirect time required. All services are billed at $235 per hour.

  • You are not required to place a deposit.
